Kettlebell Korner.

I know you love kettlebells complexes, so I'm making things even better for you.

I’ve put together a growing collection of my favorite kettlebell complexes on YouTube. These are fun, effective, and super time-efficient workouts you can run through when you want to get in, get after it, and get on with your day. I walk you through each complex step-by-step so you actually know how to do them properly, what weight to use and how many sets. Form, technique tips -- it’s all in there.

Whether you’ve got 10 minutes or a bit longer, there’s something in there for you. I’m on a mission to constantly add new ones to this playlist so stay tuned on it because it'll constantly be growing.

Pushing Progress.

Pushing Italian Progress

As I write this email I am on day 7 of my trip in Italy.

I have only worked out once, gone on 1 run and eaten more carbs and pastries than my body knows what to do with.

I have pushed...no progress lol.

And guess what? It's fine with me!

I'm in the motherland! I'm going to eat as much amazing food as I can and if I can't workout as much because I am exploring and have other obligations then that is ok with me. Because I know this isn't forever, it is just a short period of time in the grand scheme of things.

Everyone is different when they are on vacation. Some people like to workout as much as they can and keep their routine, others tend to shut it all off. Both are fine, because on your vacation you need to do what you want.

If you are new to your health and fitness journey I think it is smart to try and stay on track the best you can so you keep the habit going and don't fall off.

But if you are the type of person who can snap their fingers and get back on track when they get home, then there is nothing wrong with switching off when in the motherland of pasta and gelato!

With summer here, I am sure many people are going away for weeks at a time. Do what works for you and allows you to enjoy, while not completely falling off the wagon.

Client Shoutout

Today's client shoutout goes out to Billy, who has been on Project Bellplex for over a year!

Most people struggle to stick with a program or a plan for 6 weeks let alone an entire year, so much respect to Billy for being committed and determined for over a year and counting.

On top of that, I love that even though he is a year in to fully embracing he kettlebell world, he still feels new. And I think that is a good thing.

Not because kettlebells are complicated and they take that long to learn, but because they are a lifelong journey no matter what. Like any skill, you are always learning and can always improve whether you are 6 months or 10 years in to it.

Keep grinding, keep learning, keep enjoying and keep making progress Billy!

Business Nugget.

No, it’s not the algorithm… Your content just isn’t good.

The other day I saw somebody post on their story something along the lines of "your content is good, we’re all just fighting against some crazy algorithm that favors certain things."

And honestly, I couldn’t disagree more.

If I can be straight up and honest for a second, this is something I hear from a lot of creators and coaches who are lazy. Unfortunately a lot of people think that just posting all the time is the only key to succeeding on social media, and that if they have posted everyday for a year and nothing has happened, then it isn't their fault.

Yes, posting a lot and consistently is important… But there are things to learn and “tricks” that make your content better, more clickable and more watchable.

Now, this also doesn’t mean that you need to sell your soul to the devil to get views, clicks and clients. Everybody thinks the algorithm is some big bad judgmental force in the sky just picking its favorite people. But people tend to forget that the algorithm is run by people.

And no, I don’t mean a few people making decisions on who they like best. I mean, the people watching the content… At the end of the day if you make good content, that is helpful, entertaining, and/or informative people are going to watch it, and if it’s really good, more people will watch it. And the more people that watch it the more the “algorithm“ pumps it out to other people. Thus getting more views, likes, impressions etc.

Every platform wants all of your videos to get 1 billion views. The more people that watch a video the better it is for their platform as a business.

So no…the algorithm doesn’t hate you… It actually really really really wants to send your videos to everybody. But it doesn’t… Because they’re not that good. And when you learn to accept that and learn that there are ways to make it better without “selling your soul to the algorithm devil” great things can happen.

Stop guessing, and learn how to make content people actually want to watch
