Kettlebell Korner.

CLUBS n BELLS

MACES n BELLS

Ask and you shall receive!

As most of you know I think steel club and steel mace training is some of the best and most fun training that is out there in addition to kettlebells.

They are a great compliment to everything the kettlebell can do and quite frankly it's fun as hell to swing around badass weapon like pieces of equipment.

They are a style of training that is not very popular, but they are catching on quickly with people and that gets me excited.

With all of that...people have been asking and asking when I am going to add Clubs and Maces to Project Bellplex and well...now is the time.

This is something that took me a little longer than I had intended but I needed to make sure I did it the right way in my eyes.

So I am very excited to announce that starting this upcoming Monday (6/2) there will be TWO new programs added to the Project Bellplex Membership:

  • Clubs n Bells
  • Maces n Bells

I'm assuming you can figure out what each of those programs includes lol (you only need 1 club/mace for the respective programs).

So, if you've been waiting for clubs and maces to be more involved to join Project Bellplex, now is the time!

Pushing Progress.

Sometimes...ya gotta full send it and deal with the consequences.

I am pushing absolutely no progress right now, and I am ok with that.

5 days ago I did Murph. If you don't know what Murph is, it is a Memorial Day workout honoring Michael Murphy. 1 mile run, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats and 1 mile run.

Many of you reading this have probably done Murph at least once in your life, if not many times.

I've done Murph roughly 7 times in my life with my background in CrossFit, but I hadn't done it in about 5 years...until this year.

Last minute I decided to hop into the CrossFit class doing it and THEN got guilted into doing it straight through (100-200-300) as opposed to breaking up the pullups/pushups/squats into 10 rounds of 10/20/30 (no, I didn't wear a vest).

I got through it, it was rough, but it was a great time...then...I woke up the next day...

Ho-Lee-Fuck I was sore and as I write this 3 days after I still have to go down the stairs sideways. I haven't felt like this in a very, very long time. My workout yesterday was half assed and my workouts for the rest of the week are going to be half-assed.

But...that's ok. That is the point I am trying to make here. If you feel like this on a regular basis then that is a problem, your workouts should not smash you into oblivion all the time...but once in a while, its ok to full send and deal with the consequences.

Yea my legs don't work, sitting on the toilet is difficult, and I can barely feel my arms...but it was worth it. It was fun to do Murph again, I got to do it with 40 other people in a great class setting, it was a beautiful day and it had been 5 years so it was a fun test.

Moral of the story: Be smart with your workouts, but sometimes, get the F after it and walk down the stair sideways.

Client Shoutout

Today's client shoutout goes to Matthew, Vince and Daniel and everyone else who just completed the most recent Project Bellplex 6 Week cycle!

As you can see things went very well this past 6 week cycle. So much strength was gained, so may PRs were set and so much confidence was boosted!

These workouts on Project Bellplex are not easy and I know that when I write them. Which is why I am impressed by the people who put in the work day in and day out like Matthew, Vince and Daniel.

And what happens when they do this??

Great things. The people on this program work hard and they reap the rewards of that, that's what this is all about. And I am grateful that I get to see it and be a part of it every single day.

So, nice job Matthew, Vince and Daniel and everyone else who crushed this past cycle. I can't wait to see how well you do on the next one that starts Monday!

Business Nugget.

The other day I was talking to a fellow coach in the industry and she was telling me how she finally hired a coach to help her build her online business and it is going great!

She finally had the realization that training people in person is NOT the same as training people online and starting an online business.

There is a lot more to this online coaching world than people think.

And I hate to say it but, unfortunately with how quick things move and change nowadays, there's a lot of people who aren't catching on (or aren't going to) and will be left behind very soon.

Sorry...but it's the truth.

You have to get on the right path.

But many aren't willing to get on that path or put in the work that is needed to get there...

Then wonder why "nothing is working"

Being a successful in person trainer is primarily about being a great trainer...

Online has WAY more factors to it...accept that, and accept that you might need help and you can be like the trainer I mentioned at the beginning of this section and have finally have your ducks in a row.
