Kettlebell Korner.

2 Kettlebells. 40 minutes. In your Living room. That's it.

The other day I just had the urge to watch a movie while I worked out, so I brought a couple kettlebells from the garage to the living room.

Now I ran into some issues with the movie so I just listened to music, but I still did the workout in my living room.

I had 2 kettlebells and absolutely crushed myself with a full body workout that took 40 minutes and barely needed any space.

I know I probably beat this point like a dead horse but it was just another eye opening moment for me with these little cannonballs with handles on them.

With a properly structured workout you truly don't need a lot of space, equipment or time.

So many people can't get to the gym or don't want to...and I just want to show them that:

1.) That's NO excuse

2.) It's VERY possible to push yourself and accomplish your goals

More and more people are working out from home for whatever reason they have and I want to show them what is possible.

You don't have to just "make it work" from home - you can do amazing things working out from home without a huge setup.

Pushing Progress.

If I had to boil down 10+ years of coaching and training into just 5 simple rules

These would be it.

This is the stuff I’ve drilled into my own life, and into every client who’s ever asked: “Where do I even start?” or “Why am I not seeing results?”

The truth is, most people are overthinking the hell out of fitness.

You don’t need the perfect program. You don’t need the fancy gym. And no, you don’t need to cut out carbs, fun, or your social life.

You just need to stop guessing… and start following a few real-deal rules that actually stick.

In this quick video, I break down the 5 rules I live by (and you probably should too):

One of them is about movement.
One’s about food (you’ll meet my dad’s “DES Diet” philosophy). And one might ruffle some feathers.

Give it a watch. It might just change up how you think about getting in shape for good.

Client Shoutout

Today's client shoutout goes to VICTOR!

55lbs....FIFTY-FIVE pounds! I mean that is all I need to say right there. That is a truly unbelievable accomplishment and I can't begin to express how happy it makes me that he has been able to accomplish that on Project Bellplex.

And in just 6 months! Truly a remarkable achievement Victor and I can't wait to see what the future on this program hold for you.

Keep up the good work!

Mental Masturbation

I have talked about this topic before, but I am currently listening to a podcast and the concept came up in the conversation so I would like to bring it up again.

Stop exposing yourself to endless amount of information if you aren't going to do anything with it.

If you've read 10 books this year but you are in the same place you were 6 months ago, then what are those books doing for you?

If you listen to a self help podcast everyday on your walk but are in the same position as you were in January then what are those podcasts doing for you?

If you don't do anything with the information you are learning then there is no point in learning it...at some point you have to put the book down, pause the podcast, get out and start actually doing the thing.

Look I've been there before...I read 25 books in a year and I felt awesome, accomplished and smart! And yes, I got some good information out of them but as I look back I would have learned more and achieved more if I just did the thing.

I am not telling you to stop reading and listening to helpful podcasts that are going to motivate and teach you things...

I am saying don't get caught up in the mental masturbation trap of immediately moving on to the next one, then the next one and the next one without actually applying anything...

Because reading books and listening to podcasts doesn't pay your bills or grow your business.

Actually doing the thing does...

And there is no teacher like actual, real world experience.

"exposure to information is not learning"
