Kettlebell Korner.

Gandalf Complex

Alright guys I am going to test you a little bit on this one today, let's see how your kettlebells skill are.

This is about the Gandalf Complex and I have to warn you that this one is not for beginners.

We've got some wizardry in this one....(get it??).

This one requires skill with the kettlebell as well as a little brain power/coordination.

It is a tough one but I promise you if you take your time, slow down and take it piece by piece you should be ok and able to have a fun time with this one.

And once you do, it is one of the more empowering complexes/flows that I have.

I am a big proponent of keeping things simple and straightforward, however, I have found people tend to feel the best when they challenge themselves with tricky techniques and can do them.

So click below and give this one a shot. Take your time and listen to my cues.

Pushing Progress.

I want to address some comments I get on social media.

These comments come after I've done a very heavy lift...

And no it's not the "yOu sHoUlD wEaR sHoEs" comments.

It's the comments along the lines of "Wow, I thought I was doing good with my 24kg (53lbs) kettlebell and then I see you using a 56 (124lbs)"

Now, do I think these people are being kept up all night because I use heavier bells than them? No.

But the comparison still might be there...taking away some of their joy and happiness about their progress and where they are at in their journey.

Listen to me when I say this.

Basically my entire life revolves around this silly little cannonball with a handle on it, and even before the kettlebell took over, my entire life still revolved around lifting heavy weights.

Please do not let what I do take any light away from the path you are on and the progress you have made.

And the same goes for any other aspect of life with anyone else on the internet.

Stay on your path, be happy about your progress and keep pushing.

Look for motivation and inspiration from outside sources, but remember that...

Comparison is the Thief of Joy

Client Shoutout

Today's shoutout goes to Olivia!

Olivia isn't a client but she is a fan of my content and I wanted to give her a shoutout for coming up and introducing herself to me at Hyrox this past weekend in NYC. This is only the second time in my life I've been "recognized in the wild" and I wanted to thank Olivia for it because I think it's so cool when I can meet you guys.

She was very sweet, very appreciative of my content and told me all about how she loves kettlebells (and she said she reads my emails so I'm testing her right now with this shoutout too!).

She even introduced me to her 61 year old mom who is also into kettlebells and is the one who got her in to them! So badass.

Anyway, it was really cool to meet Olivia and her mom and have a quick conversation with them. If any of you ever see me out and about please do not hesitate to say hi because I would love to meet you and chat.

Business Nugget.

Serve Others

Over the past 2 years I have built what some would call a good social media following and decent online business.

With that, has come a lot of conversations with other coaches, trainers and entrepreneurs that have wanted some advice on what they can do to make their social media better and build up an online business.

And yes, I do coaching in this field that people pay for, but I am also very willing to have a quick call or conversation with someone who wants to pick my brain (especially when I know them well).

And while I am not getting paid, these conversations are some of the most rewarding ones for me and I enjoy them a lot.

I always say that I hate wasted talent and I hate wasted opportunity.

The internet is the biggest opportunity there is...so I like to help people learn how to use it.

And when I can, I get lit up.

I'm saying all of this because sometimes it just feels really good to help people that need it, and every business should.

No, you shouldn't and can't do everything for free...

But...extending an olive branch sometimes feels better than getting paid.
