Kettlebell Korner

If you want to learn how to do a kettlebell clean like a pro.

And never bash your wrists or forearms again (well...maybe not "never" it takes some practice if you're new).

Watch this video...I'll teach you exactly how to perfect it in only 3 minutes.

Pushing Progress

The holidays can be a tough time of year to really stay on track with your health and fitness...we all know this.

Right now isn't the best time to "start a new diet"...

But it doesn't mean you abandon everything and completely fall off the wagon.

From Thanksgiving to New Years Day you have 36 days.

Give yourself 6 days...

  • Thanksgiving
  • The day after - because who isn't eating leftover apple crumb pie for breakfast the next morning....
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas
  • New Years Eve
  • New Years Day

Give yourself those 6 days. Drink and eat whatever the hell you want. Be with friends and family. Get after it. And have some fun.

But really do your best to give yourself just those 6 days. Because if you let loose for 6 out of 36 days its really not that big of a deal.

It's when you let loose for 26 out of 36 days where people fall off the wagon, undo all their progress and lose all momentum.

Don't try and start any new habits right now. Don't try and be perfect every day for the rest of the year (unless you really want to be).

Be ok eating and drinking a little more, but hold it to those days. Continue to get your workouts in. And let the holidays pass without you falling off the wagon or losing any momentum.

And most importantly not feeling guilty because you had a piece of apple crumb pie with your breakfast, lunch and dinner (idk who did that...just using it as a weirdly specific example...it definitely wasn't me who did that....👀)

Client Shoutout

HUGE client shoutout right here. And it goes to a group of dads in Project Bellplex.

Jeff is a new dad, 3 month old at home and now trying to juggle that with a full time job and still get in his workouts.

A struggle I know all dads out there feel...or have felt at some point in the life.

So Jeff decided to ask the community for help and man...the responses immediately came pouring in.

Helpful, understanding, empathetic and genuinely practical advice from a bunch of guys who are going through the same situation.

Whatever it is you are struggling with I can promise you, you are not alone...and being around people who have faced the same struggles is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Thank you to all the amazing men that jumped in to help Jeff...this is what it's all about!

Business Nugget

I was having a chat with a friend the other day who I help with social media and building her online business (hi Dani).

And the concept of multi-tasking came up.

And how we as entrepreneurs just LOVE to multitask because we think we are so amazing at everything and can do it all.

We can't.

None of us can.

Multi-tasking is a scam, a lie and it's not possible.

"pAt, wHaT dO yOu MeAn, i'M gReAt aT MulTiTaSkInG"

I'm not talking about brushing your teeth and taking a piss at the same time...

I'm talking about trying to juggle and focus on multiple things in business (or multiples businesses) that all require your actual attention to be done well.

Sure...you can try do a bunch of different things at the same time...

Problem is that you THINK you're doing a good job at handling them all, but really what you are doing is half-assing all of them.

The reason you are focusing on all of them is because you think the combination of them gives you 100%.

When in reality if you just went all fucking in on one thing, you could get that ONE thing up to 250%

And THEN once that is at 250% you can go scratch that other itch you have.

But right now...you're multi-tasking.

And multi-tasking isn't possible.

Letters From The Garage The other day someone asked me what my biggest worry is about becoming a dad. And as someone who is about to have a son... This was an easy one. See... I actually wanted a girl first, if I'm being honest. Being a girl dad sounds awesome. And while nothing seems scarier than a teenage daughter as a dad... It didn't worry me as much as having a son. Because I believe there is way more pressure as a dad when having a son. I like to think I'm a good man. I'm hardworking,...

The other day I was looking in the mirror and saw my first really prominent gray hairs. (I'll be 33 soon for reference) Honestly I was almost excited and thought it was funny. I don't think aging aesthetically is that big of a deal. Gray hairs & some extra wrinkles... Would I rather they not happen? Sure. But I'm not afraid of them and I don't think I'll be the guy trying to hold on to my youth with remedies like dying my hair or hair transplants etc. Aging aesthetically is not something I'm...

I’ve taught well over 10,000 group fitness classes in my career. So according to some law of mastery…that would make me a...master? Now I fancy myself a humble man… but if there is one thing I know I’ve gotten real damn good at over the years… It is teaching group fitness. And not just hype man spin classes type of group fitness where all the instructor does is cheerlead & yell… But actual group coaching. Where you are teaching people how to do exercises, coaching them through progressions,...
